What is white noise and how does it help you?
Your brain registers sound even when you are in sleep. Sudden change in frequency of background noise disturbs your sleeping brain. White noise is a constant noise that covers all hearable frequencies at once at a constant power rate per hertz and essentially masks all other disctracting sounds when it is played on appropriate level. White noise is recommended by Dr. Oz as a sleep miracle.
Why does Sleepy White Noise have so many noise sounds other than just white noise?
There are other colors of noise that focus on specific frequencies. Some research suggests that pink noise is actually a better sleep sound than white noise. In a small study of 11 subjects, a team of German researchers played pink noise in synchronicity with sleeping subjects brain rhythmes, and the pink noise seemed to prolong deep sleep and enhance memory retention in the morning. Pink noise contains all frequencies audible to humans ears, but the power per hertz decreases as the frequency increases. Based on this, we applied many different filters to white noise and created constant noise sounds that focus on different frequencies to provide you various constant noise sounds. More than 70 constant noise sounds that White Sleepy Noise provides will help you relax, sleep and concentrate better. Furthermore, its built-in sound filter allows you to adjust the frequency of white noise to help you make your own favorite sound! If you were disappointed by other aggressive sounding noises, try our calm and soft noises.
*Some sounds focus on low frequencies in order to help you calm and concentrate better, and we recommend you to use a pair of headphones or earphones for those sounds. A speaker on a small device like iphone may not play low frequencies appropriately and results volume loss.
